Kune Kune Pigs, the Maori Pig
KuneKune pig also known as the Maori pig are a fantastic pig originating in New Zealand. They were almost extinct but are now making a fabulous comeback by breeders like us looking to preserve the breed.
Many are now kept as pets, weed eaters, by homesteaders and pig enthusiasts! We find that they don't eat as much as regular hogs, love to be with you and keep us entertained for hours!
These docile pigs are known for their silly personalities, docile dispositions, adorable looks, and the offer a dark red tasty pork meat for homesteaders and such!
Note! Kunekune pigs are not mini pigs. Recently Social Media has made KuneKunes a fad and now made people believe they are miniature pigs. They are mini compared to Berkshire, however we have 400 pounds KuneKunes, they are not mini's and are not house pets these guys need pasture, room to run and wallows to be a pig.
