MoonShine is arriving in January. He is a Western Heritage bull. At a mere 36" he is considered a icro mini cow. His small stature will be used to create smaller sized cows. A tool often used by breeders who want to continue to downsize.
We now have 7 in the herd with plans to add a few more soon!

Mini cows are smaller versions of cows! Simple as that , the smaller size can be from Zebu, Dexter or Chondro genetics.
Not all chondro cows will produce chondro offspring. You must know your genetics and breed carefully to avoid early abortions and deformities. Your chondro cows will need to stay a healthy weight and must not be used if they are deformed.
Esme is non chondro, she is a cross of Highland and Dexter
Highland cows are being sold by the handfuls to unsuspecting buyers. Many are told that those cute little fluffballs are mini highlands when they are just bottle babies. They are being surrendered now due to scams.
If a highland is mini, it is NOT purebred, it would have to have smaller genetics introduced. They can be high percentage. Buyer beware. The HighDex is small due to the small dexter genetics.
